'Avengers: Infinity War' Starts Filming In Edinburgh, Glasgow And The Highlands Of Scotland
By"Avengers: Infinity War" will be filmed in Edinburg, Glasgow and the Highlands, Scotland. It is set to become the biggest movie ever made in Scotland with a budget of £400 million ($486 million) , surpassing Brad Pitt's "World War Z."
According to the Telegraph, "Avengers: Infinity War" will start filming on Feb. 28. insiders say it could take six months to complete the film and it's expected to be a mega hit once it hits the cinemas. Scottish Labour culture spokesperson Lewis MacDonald could not contain his excitement for the filming to begin because it's also expected to boost the economy.
The last two big budget films shot in Scotland were "World War Z" and "Braveheart," starred by two big-named Hollywood celebrities, Brad Pitt and Mel Gibson, respectively. However, the movies mentioned are incomparable to the much-hyped "Avengers: Infinity War," according to a Daily Record report. The report adds that the Marvel movie will give the Scottish film industry a big boost.
The movie features a star-studded cast. It stars Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Mark Ruffalo as The Incredible Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as The Mighty Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as Droox, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and Karen Gillian as Nebula. The movie is directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. The star-spangled film is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFreely.
Meanwhile, no plot has been announced but it is expected to revolve around the villainous Thanos who plans to take over the world using the Infinity Gauntlet.
