Xiaomi is getting ready for MWC 2017 and the Apple of China is reportedly preparing its premium flagship, Mi 6, with Snapdragon 835 on board. Details here!

If this rumor is to be believed, the tech community can expect the first Chinese smartphone to rock the latest SoC from Qualcomm. And it can also be argued that the handset's performance will be on par with Galaxy S8.

Leak after leak has revealed more about Mi 6 tech specs. The latest AnTuTu score has shown a record-breaking score of 210,039 in raw performance. This result defeats iPhone 7 Plus with 183,106 points according to GSM Arena.

Qualcomm has unveiled its latest and fastest-to-date chipset, Snapdragon 835, and Xiaomi Mi 6 will reportedly sport the SoC.

In addition to the Snapdragon 835 under the hood, Mi 6 is expected to have a whopping battery capacity, and much higher performance but with lower power consumption. NDTV has learned that Xiaomi could offer Mi 6 in two models, 128 GB and 256 GB of inbuilt storage.

Mi 6 could be packing more pixels than Mi 5 and based on what Snapdragon 835 is capable of, the handset iteration could also be getting a dual-lens module with 16MP sensor.

While there is no legitimate source to confirm Galaxy S8 specs, Mi 6 leaks have been constantly pointing at imminent release and impressive benchmark score. It is probably safe to assume that Mi 6 will be competing with other premium phones such as Google's Pixel and OnePlus 3.

Xiaomi Mi 6 release date

A recent Mi 6 leak suggests a February release date, which many have assumed that Xiaomi will likely unveil the phone at MWC 2017.
