ByA new update for the previous OnePlus flagship smartphone, OnePlus 3, has started to roll out. The Android 7.0 Nougat-based update has been released as OxygenOS 4.0.1 and is expected to bring improvements and bug fixes.
The OxygenOs 4.0.1 update is intended to OnePlus 3 smartphones that were not updated from Android Marshmallow. The update is expected to have a custom DPI support, improved shelf customization, Notification Direct reply, new design for the settings menu and notifications and multi-window support, according to Android Headlines. To download this 36MB file sized update, go to the settings then to the about phone section and tap software updates and check to see if the manual update is available and then proceed to download.
OnePlus 3 users have been reportedly experiencing a fluctuating connection to the wi-Fi, problems with the proximity sensor and apps that do not download on the Google Play Store. Now, through the OxygenOs 4.0.1 update, all these problems are expected to be fixed along with improvements on the system stability and an updated APN settings for each selected carrier.
However, if after downloading the update you still experience mobile date issues with the APN, OnePlus suggests a quick fix, Phone Arena reported. Just go to APN settings and then manually try all the options and is problem still exists, or if the prompt says Wi-Fi connectivity might still fluctuate, try contacting the developers.
Meanwhile, if the problem with applications not downloading still exist after update, try turning the device to battery saving mode and reset the app preferences to the Google Play Store. Check also if an AVG Antivirus, PayTm or Truecaller is installed in the device and uninstall them or do Force Stop.
