Players who want to immerse themselves in the world of "Resident Evil" can now do so thanks to Capcom's The Experience event. The immersive event, which will take place in London, celebrates the exciting release of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" on Jan. 24.

The "Resident Evil 7: The Experience" event will happen from Jan. 20 to 23 for 45 minutes each, Gamasutra reported. Check out the trailer below.

The storyline of the "Resident Evil 7: The Experience" event is tailored after the upcoming game, putting players in an escape room-esque situation inside the Baker mansion as they attempt to survive the haunted house's horrors. The event is set in a "haunted and dilapidated" venue in London's East End.

Players partaking in the event will play as an investigative journalist. They will be joining a group of paranormal TV production team -- called The Sewer Gators -- trying to get to the bottom of their crew members' disappearance inside the house.

The "Resident Evil 7: The Experience" event will put players in an eerie atmosphere as they search for clues and puzzles pointing to the missing persons' whereabouts. There will be "a few unexpected interruptions" that include both "visible and unseen obstacles." Through it all, the players need to escape the haunted house unscathed.

Laura Skelly, Capcom's PR manager, said that the "Resident Evil 7: The Experience" event serves as "a little glimpse" into the gameplay of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." With the event, players will be able to "interact with the game in a brand-new way, and perhaps even having a chance encounter with some of the game's characters," Gamasutra further reported.

"Resident Evil 7: The Experience" is free for the public but only as a strict first-come basis. Lucky players will enter the immersive event with a partner, and they are granted a demo version of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" before the game's official launch on Jan. 24.

For more details, information and terms and conditions, visit the official "Resident Evil 7: The Experience" website. The event's address is Dray Walk Gallery at 91 Brick Lane, London E1 6QL. Only 28 pairs of tickets are given per day, Upload VR reported.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" comes with a full support for PlayStation VR. To make the gameplay more immersive, Capcom is offering a "Resident Evil 7: Blood, Sweat, and Fears 4D VR Candle" that smells like "old timber, leather, and maybe some blood." The item costs $15.99 and is said to last for around 18 to 20 hours.
