‘The Defenders’ News: Cast, Villain & Trailer Revisited; Fans Ask For Moon Knight’s Inclusion [VIDEO]

Moreover, Marvel fans are clamoring for Moon Knight's inclusion in the Defender's lineup or better yet, a standalone show in the Marvel TV Universe.
"The Defenders" is slated for a release at the end of the year, following the six-month cycle of Marvel-Netflix shows. "Iron Fist" will debut on March, which puts "The Defenders" air date to the last quarter of 2017. Nonetheless, a rundown of what is known so far is listed below for fans eager to know more about the newest addition to the Marvel-Netflix TV universe.
"The Defenders" Story
"The Defenders" is all about four young heroes who must grapple with their own challenges and learn that they are stronger when fighting as a team. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will team up to save New York City from various threats, foremost of which is an impending apocalypse.

Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Iron Fist will star in "The Defenders" along with other characters from their individual shows. The following supporting actors will reprise their roles in the latest Marvel-Netflix show, namely, Elden Hensen (Foggy Nelson), Simone Missick (Misty Knight), Elodie Yung (Elektra), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) and Scott Glenn (Stick).

Executive producer and head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb announced in last summer's San Diego Comic Con that Sigourney Weaver will play the newest villain for "The Defenders." Marvel fans are speculating if Moon Knight can be introduced in "The Defenders" lineup after "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn tweeted a great idea for the character as being more at home in the small screen. Fans are hoping that Marvel will further expand the Marvel-Netflix TV Universe by having a standalone show featuring Moon Knight from the Marvel comics, Comicbook reported.
