The Xiaomi Mi Mix in Pearl White color and complete with gold trimmings at the back was announced in CES 2017 with its release in China at the end of the year. There is no official global market release as of yet, but Xiaomi's presence in CES could only indicate that the Chinese is set to dominate the U.S. market anytime soon.

Xiaomi's global vice-president Hugo Barra appeared in CES to announce the new Pearl White variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix. The early reviews of the phone commend its new stunning look and its impressive specs are also worth taking note of as listed below.

Xiaomi Mi Mix In White

The Xiaomi Mi Mix was officially announced with its newest Pearl White color option complete with 18K gold trimmings surrounding the camera and the fingerprint scanner at the back. Last October, Xiaomi unveiled its limited edition concept phone with the help of French designer, Philippe Starck, Gadgets 360 has learned.

Xiaomi Mi Mix New Features

The most striking feature of the Xiaomi Mi Mix is its bezel-less design, boasting of a 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. The design gave Xiaomi engineers some logistical problems, but these were cleverly solved according to PC Advisor.

The selfie camera is now relocated at the bottom right, the proximity sensor sits behind the display and the piezoelectric acoustic ceramic earpiece speaker still provides great audio as other premium smartphones. The Xiaomi Mi Mix also has the accelerometer, barometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass and gyroscope.

Xiaomi Mi Mix Key Specs

The Xiaomi Mi Mix has a 6.4-inch display with 1080x2040 resolution, pixel density of 362ppi and the NTSC color gamut. It is powered by the Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 821 chipset clocking at 2.35GHz.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix has a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and a 5MP selfie camera with a new location that may require getting used to. The phone comes in two variants, namely, the 4GB of RAM with 128GB built-in memory and 6GB of RAM with 256GB, both available in Black color option only.

Barra at CES announced that the Xiaomi Mi Mix will be sold in China at the end of the year with no official confirmation of its release in the global market particularly in the U.S. However, observers say that the Chinese smartphone maker is set to dominate the American market as indicated by Xiaomi's appearance at CES.
