Asus is launching a new firmware update with several improvements and changes for the Asus ZenWatch 3 that bears a model number WI503Q. Asus ZenWatch 2 owners also get a minor upgrade.

The update for Asus ZenWatch 3 patches security vulnerabilities and bundles Android security fixes. The firmware update of Asus ZenWatch 3 improves the accuracy of the algorithm. The update also brings stability improvements for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, wherein the ZenWatch 3 users will no longer find the charging and discharging notification messages, according to Asus.

Apart from that, the ZenWatch 3 users can enjoy the support for algorithm of falling detection and translations in various languages, for which the user needs a ZenWatch Manager companion app v3.2.0.161220. Upon updating the Asus ZenWatch 3 smartwatch with the latest release, the ZenWatch 3 users should check out the support for ECO mode setting, as well as the Button setting for user customisation.

The firmware update for ZenWatch 3 smartwatch has new themes for the watch face, such as Golden Era, Silver Ribbon, Aureole, Geometry, Signature, Cruise and Ostra.

Along with the ZenWatch 3 firmware update, the ZenWatch 2 owners also have some good news as well. The Taiwanese multinational company is also rolling out an update for the ZenWatch 2, although it's a minor update, the firmware for ZenWatch 2 smartwatch addresses security vulnerabilities. This is the only thing that ZenWatch 2 owners can expect from their update, but at least the update is an important one.

Nonetheless, the Asus ZenWatch 3 has been hailed as the first Android smartwatch that got everything right. The ZenWatch 3 smartwatch is packed with a screen resolution of 400 x 400 displayed through its circular 1.39 inch AMOLED screen. The ZenWatch 3 runs on the Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. The $299 price of the smartwatch is deemed just about right for the gadget, Android Authority reported.
