Valve Corporation's MOBA game "Dota 2" is getting another boost early this year. The stand-alone sequel to DotA has just received a small patch this week. The latest update also included a few number of important bug fixes.

Released in 2013, "Dota 2" is a multiplayer online battle arena or MOBA for short. The game was developed and published by Valve Corporation on July 2013 for Microsoft Windows PC, Apple OS X and Linux OS.

Similar to the previous Defense of the Ancients (DotA), "Dota 2" is played in team matches that consist of five players for each team, with both teams occupying their own base and stronghold positions on the map. Each of these ten players independently controls a powerful character, known as a "hero." A hero has unique fighting abilities, weaknesses and weapons.

According to PC Games, the latest patch covers a few number of issues, this includes the Fall Battle Pass and the courier issue. It also added a range display to various DotA 2 item which grants auras. More importantly, it enabled hero swapping during strategy time game, which can be done by right-clicking on the players' names at the top of the game screen. The full details and complete notes can also be seen at Steam website.

Here a full list of the DotA 2 items that now have range display when mouse hovered over (in non-alphabetical order):

  • Smoke of Deceit

  • Mekansm
  • Dust of Appearance

As noted earlier by Reddit guide creator TorteDeLini, changes were also made to the hero builds server, but it's still bugged out, which makes it harder for guide makers to update new builds.
