DC Extended Universe "Shazam" will have Dwayne Johnson playing the supervillain Black Adam with a first look of how Johnson exudes villainy in a fan art by George Evangelista. Interest in the movie was recently sparked as Johnson posted a photo on Instagram sharing Christmas drinks with "Superman" actor Henry Cavill and referencing to DC worlds colliding in the caption.

"Shazam" is still shrouded in mystery as to who is confirmed to play on the lead role and other cast members although Channing Tatum was rumored to star in the movie according to MoviePilot.com. However, the role of the supervillain Black Adam has been given to Johnson, who currently figured as the newest villain in a fan art by George Evangelista.

The fan art was uploaded via Facebook showing how Johnson fits the role of Black Adam, revealing the artist's skills and eagerness to watch the newest DC offering, "Shazam." Moreover, interest on the movie was sparked as Johnson posted in Instagram sharing Christmas drinks with "Superman" actor Cavill, captioning the photo with "DC Worlds Will Collide" hashtag according to MovieWeb.

"Shazam" Storyline

Himan Garcia, vice president of Seven Bucks Productions, co-owned by Johnson with Dany Garcia, revealed a clue on the "Shazam" storyline, which is about a young kid finding himself in a man's body with powers to boot. The new superhero will be facing Black Adam whose own dark history of losing his family is his main driving force according to Cinema Blend.

"Shazam" is set to be released on April 4, 2019 and there is no information yet on how the movie will be connected to the whole DCEU storyline. Meanwhile, Cavill's Superman will be seen in "Justice League" hitting theaters on Nov. 17.
