After getting a beta version for quite some time, Android Nougat officially rollouts to OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 via Oxygen OS 4.0.

OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 are the premium flagships that have become two of a few devices getting Android Nougat update. OnePlus finally announced the rollout on New Year's eve and the stable version will be received by both handsets starting Dec. 31, Phone Arena has learned.

Co-Founder Carl Pei took Twitter to update his followers with the good news.

The latest OS version update comes out in the form of OxygenOS 4.0 and some improvements to look forward to including new notification order with direct replies, multi-window screen, new shelf customization and custom DPI support.

This means that OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 are ahead of Samsung Galaxy S7 when it comes to OTA update as the latter will be receiving Nougat sometime this month, Trusted Reviews reported.

The OxygenOS 4.0 update comes as a surprise as, according to Neowin, it seemed unlikely to rollout the upgrade, until the announcement came a few hours before 2016 ended. The firmware offers easy, customizable features and delivers pure Android experience.
