WWE Legends Undertaker and Shawn Michaels are being advertised to appear on the Jan. 9 episode of WWE Raw. Both are expected to be a part of WWE's next Royal Rumble pay-per-view scheduled to take place in Shawn's hometown of San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 29.

The Undertaker is expected to be part of the Royal Rumble, but on Jan. 9, WWE Raw will reveal what the Dead Man's role will be, according to The Wrestling Observer. Fans and wrestling pundits initially speculated that the Undertaker will face AJ Styles for the WWE Title, but that opportunity went to John Cena. The only other option would be to put him in the Royal Rumble match with the winner moving on to face the world champion in Wrestlemania.

Meanwhile, Shawn Michaels is also scheduled for a special appearance at the Royal Rumble, according to Wrestlezone. His role could be anywhere from being a special referee to a guest enforcer and fans will soon find out at WWE Raw episode.

Although fans still look forward to see Michaels perform in the sqaured-circle, it is doubtful he would wrestle after having from wrestling in 2010 when he lost to the Undertaker. Since then, he has said countless times he would never wrestle another match again even though AJ Styles challenged him to a match at the Royal Rumble.

If the Undertaker decides to join the Royal Rumble, he would join a 30-man field that already includes Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg. It is also expected that Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho and Braun Strowman would also announce their intentions to join the Royal Rumble match on WWE Raw. There are also those at the backstage who expect the Undertaker to face John Cena in this year's Wrestlemania with the possibility that the WWE Title would be on the line.
