Windows 10 RedStone 2 Update Brings Better Management System; Will It Have Dedicated Gaming Mode?
ByWindows 10 Redstone 2, also known as Creators Update, will make management easier through enhanced Start menu. It will bring in brand new exciting features, but everybody wants to know if it will have a dedicated gaming mode.
Redstone 2 Update for Better Management
A lot of people still rely on the Start menu when navigating through their files on their Window, now Microsoft will let users group multiple lie tiles in a single folder to address that issue, Softpedia reported. This will help users keep their Start menu clean. Bringing this to the desktop is a good strategy by Microsoft to keep smartphones and PCs in sync.
This, however, doesn't mean users can pin their folders on their local drive to their PC's Start menu. This new feature can only allow them to group several live titles. People who use store apps through their PCs may find this new feature really helpful.
This new feature is expected to be available in the new Windows 10, which is expected to come out in the first weeks of January. Microsoft is expected to finalize the development for the new features of the Redstone 2 Update this January. After that they will start the bug hunt in preparation for Redstone 3 Update, which is expected to roll out in the fall of 2017.
Redstone 2 Update with Dedicated Gaming Mode
Other features that will be offered in the new Redstone 2 Update are a new UI for Windows Defender, the integrator feature called "My People," 3D MS Paint, and other enhancements for Microsoft's Edge browser, Extreme Tech reported. But what people really want to know about is if Microsoft will develop a dedicated game system for its Windows 10.
A Tweet from user h0x0d hints a better mode for 14997 and a new dll. This new dll is "gamemode.dll" as tweeted. This could point to a dedicated game mode, but there are no other concrete definition and information about this dll so far.
