Japanese video game developer Inti Creates will release downloadable content for "Azure Strike Gunvolt 2," but none of it is the follow-up for the "Mighty Gunvolt." In another note, the "Azure Striker Gunvolt" OVA anime that Inti Creates promised last September is postponed to January.

Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 DLC in Japan

The DLC for "Azure Stike Gunolt 2" is now available in Japan, Destructoid reported. The DLC offers a new song, new score attack missions, and a new way to increase experience and credits earned. The latest DLC also brings in a new speed run mode without the Electromagnetic Barrier and a new save feature.

Unfortunately, the new DLC is sold through an unsystematic measure partially over a span of time. The features in the DLC are sold at prices ranging from 50 Yen, or about $1, up to 300 Yen, or about $2, each. Perhaps some gamers can manae their own speed run, if they could.

Azure Striker Gunvolt Anime OVA Postponed to January

In another note, the promised anime version of "Azure Striker Gunvolt" is moved to January, Crunchyroll reported. Inti Creates promised last September that it will release the OVA anime version of the game winter of 2016.

Inti Creates gave various reasons for postponing the anime, but it will technically still launch in the winter. It will roll out in the 3DS eShop in Europe, North America, and Japan. The director of the show is Yoshinori Odaka, who directed "Cross Fight B-Daman eS," and some episodes of "Yona of the Dawn" and "Tegami Bachi." Meanwhile, the scenario of the anime will be handled by Shigeru Murakoshi, who wrote scripts for the "Knights of Sedonia" and Garu the Animation."

The character design is made by Masakazu Sunagawa, who is the animation director of episodes from "AKB0048" and "Saki." Meanwhile, cast members of the game will play their character roles for the anime.
