‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Updates: Casting Call Reveals Unknown Alien Race; ‘Spiderman’ Tom Holland Absent In The List Of Actors [REPORT]
ByThe "Avengers: Infinity War" is carefully kept under wraps, but a casting call reveals a new alien race to feature in the movie. Moreover, the extensive list of actors in this massive sequel to "The Avengers" is short of one superhero, Tom Holland of "Spiderman: Homecoming."
The "Avengers: Inifinity War" will begin filming in spring next year, taking an entire year to make the sequel to the blockbuster-hit "The Avengers." Afterwards, part two will be filmed for its release on 2019 on a still unknown title. Though kept under wraps by Marvel, fans are eager to jump to various conclusions as to what the recent casting call reveals.
"Avengers: Infinity War" Aliens
A casting call was posted for the "Avengers: Infinity War" calling for extras who are tall and slender to play aliens. These extras must be willing to have their faces and bodies painted on and some may even have to wear prosthetics in the movie.
Comicbook speculated that it could either be the Kree or Kotati race since the Chitauri with ties to Thanos were made via CGI. The Kree have been introduced in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" as the blue-skinned alien while the Kotati has yet to debut in the "Avengers: Infinity War."
"Avengers: Infinity War" Cast
More casting calls for extras, body-doubles, stand-ins and the likes have been made for the "Avengers: Infinity War" as the studio prepares filming in April next year. A list of actors included in the movie appeared in MovieCastingCall.org and the name of Tom Holland of "Spiderman: Homecoming" is missing, though it may not be apparent at first glance because of the extensive list.
Tom Holland's absence could mean two things according to Cinema Blend, starting with Spiderman being established as a grassroots hero and adding to that his young age, which makes him not yet primed for "Avengers: Infinity War." Furthermore, there may be a technical issue involved since the Marvel-Sony deal is on a film-by-film basis and the two studios have already confirmed a sequel to "Spiderman: Homecoming."
"Avengers: Infinity War" Release Date
The "Avengers: Infinity War" will hit theaters on May 4, 2018. Meanwhile, part two will be released on May 3, 2019.
