Good news for anyone who pre-ordered "Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition," "Halo Wars: Definitive Edition" is now live allowing early access for fans of the original 2009 RTS game. Early access lets fans get a jumpstart ahead of "Halo Wars 2" release on Feb. 2017.

"Halo Wars Definitive Edition" is optimized for the Xbox One and Windows 10 systems. It features improve visuals with 4K support including all DLC's from the original release. Also included are new bonus achievements and content that is sure to delight fans of the original, Windows Central reported.

"Halo Wars Definitive Edition" is included when you purchase "Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition" in a bundle for $80. The bundle price also includes the season pass. 343 Industries, developers of "Halo Wars" informs users that those who have pre-ordered the digital version of "Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition" should have already received notifications for their redemption codes for "Halo Wars: Definitive Edition" by now. These codes take seven to 10 days to reach users after pre-ordering.

Once you have your code, it can be redeemed at Xbox.com for you to be able to download "Halo Wars: Definitive Edition" to your PC or Xbox One. The game is a Play Anywhere title so it would be prudent to do both considering it is also capable of cross-save, too.
