Microsoft Surface Studio News & Update: Surface Studio's Overall 2016 Sales Better Than Expected, Another Smash Hit For Microsoft [VIDEO]
ByMicrosoft's powerful and gorgeous all-in-one PC, Surface Studio, is yet another success from the Surface division. Apparently, shipments of Microsoft Surface Studio shows that the device is hitting big in the all-in-one PC productiveness. Tech fans may not have seen this coming considering Microsoft Surface Studio's high price.
As it turns out, the overall 2016 shipment of the Microsoft Surface Studio is better than expected. The global shipment of Surface Studio this Q4 2016 was expected to sell 15000 units.
Nevertheless, much to the tech fans' delight, the Microsoft Surface Studio actually doubles its shipment and reach 30000 units. Additionally, Taiwan-based suppliers claim that Microsoft has already placed an order of 30000 units of Surface Studio for Q1 shipment next year, Digi Times reported.
Global shipments of All In One PCs drop at least 3 percent annually. Nonetheless, since Apple Inc. hasn't refreshed its iMac line, the Surface Studio by Microsoft could be racking up some of the iMac's demands. It's worth noting that Apple follows Lenovo as the world's largest All In One PC vendor. This means that if Apple fans opt for Microsoft Surface Studio, Microsoft can tear down quite a large number of sales.
That being the case, if a person wants to get a Surface Studio, there are three Surface Studio variants to choose from, and each device differs with each other in specs. Price of Microsoft Surface Studio varies from $2999, $3499 to $4199.
The lowest Surface Studio variant comes along with Intel Core i5, 8GB of RAM and 2GB of GPU. While the higher models run an Intel Core i7 processor. Ordering from the Microsoft Store lets a person get their Surface Studio in early 2017, according to Microsoft.
Microsoft appears to be very keen on continuing its hardware efforts, and the Surface Studio is the company's perfect example.
