The year 2017 is here and what better way to celebrate it than to kick it off with a fresh start as you tackle new challenges and welcome better opportunities. Here are some novel ideas to end your year with a bang.

Write down your vision

Use the end of 2016 as your time of reflection. Make an assessment of this year's accomplishments, mistakes, and lessons as well as a time to plan the next year. What do you want to accomplish this 2017? A goal that has been written on paper is a goal half-accomplished already. Aside from your general goal, set goals every month and quarter as well as actionable steps you can do every week. Then place them where you can see them every day to remind you where you're going.

Create a Theme

Making New Year's resolution has been a tradition; however, a great percentage of them are not accomplished. Instead of writing down resolutions, create a theme. It could be a word, a sentence, or an idea that deeply resonates within you and what you believe in. It could also be something that you want to see in your life. Along with your vision, write it down and place it on your desk as a reminder.

De-Clutter and Organize

Old things that are not necessary and just hog space should be thrown away. Clean up not only your work area but other areas of your house that needs sprucing up. Buy new furniture to give you some good vibes. You also need to delete old and unimportant emails and electronic files.

After cleaning up, assess your tasks and identify which are your priorities. Learn to delegate smaller tasks so you can focus on the more important ones.

Move

Literally and figuratively speaking, it's time to move. Figuratively, leave behind any negative things in your life which might include resentment, unforgiveness, or procrastination. You don't have any need of them but start your year right with positive thoughts. Literally, give more time for regular exercise. Be intentional and set aside specific times during the day where you can exercise and meditate.

Get Away From Your Computer

If there's really no need for it, get away from your computer. Try building a habit of meeting your clients and friends face to face rather than virtually.
