Tech giant Apple has definitely thrilled and prolonged fans' agony when it comes to its rumored iPad Mini 5 when it kept mum about its details and released instead iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September. While 2016 is almost over, it looks like iPad Mini 5 has never been in their list of devices to be released this year.

Fans might be disappointed and dismayed over the turn of events, as the saying goes there is always next year. According to Latin Post, iPad Mini 5 will be unveiled around the first quarter of 2017 alongside the iPad Pro 2, which will come in three display variants ranting from a 9.7-inch, 10.5-inch, and a 12.9-inch screen. The source also added that although Apple has not confirmed yet about the veracity of the claim, rumors circulating that the iPad Mini 5 is an introductory passage for the iPad Pro 2, since it has Apple A9X chipset, 3GC RAM, and a 32 GB storage.

Specifications of the iPad Mini 5 is seen to include a 128 GB version as speculations broke out the Apple will be scrapping out its 16 GB minimum gadget space. If this is true, then iPad Mini 5 is surely a grabber, considering that fans are hankering for its release. Reports also cited that it will feature the iPhone 6's 7000-series aluminum design.

Macworld also shared its forecast on iPad Mini 5, guessing that the slim and light aspect of it will lead to a possibility of a no headphone port feature. The integration of iOS 10 and 3D Touch is also seen to invade in the mini iPad as well as making it a waterproof gadget based on the recent iPhone generations that are resistant to water immersion.

The source also made a forecast that a possible microSD card slot could be included with the new iPad Mini 5, sounds impossible but reports claimed that Apple might do it considering the frustrating storage policies of Apple devices that customers are commenting about.
