As expected, undefeated Baylor (9-0) jumped to No. 4 in the new BCS standings published today, ESPN reported. More surprisingly, they trail Ohio State (10-0), which hasn't lost a game in two seasons, by just .0013 points. Baylor is actually ahead of Ohio State in the latest AP poll, according to CBS Sports.

At .8856, Baylor is still a far ways from Alabama's (10-0) .9914 score and FSU's (10-0) .9661, despite their equally stellar record.

Few predicted the rise of Baylor this season. Ranked in the 20's by most preseason polls, the Bears have one of their best teams in program history -- and better than all four teams led by alum Robert Griffin III (best finish: 10-3).

The Bears impressed the computers with their 63-34 win at home against Texas Tech (7-4). They are the highest scoring FBS team in the country with 61.2 points per game, and haven't won by less than 10 points all season.

Ohio State won by almost the same score, 60-35, Saturday at Illinois. With their relatively easy Big Ten schedule (featuring just one other ranked opponent, BCS #19 Wisconsin), the Buck Eyes have no chance at overtaking Alabama or FSU should all three finish undefeated. Baylor will also likely end up the third or fourth wheel if current records prevail, though they have played a more impressive schedule than Ohio State and have a big game at BCS #10 Oklahoma State (9-1) next weekend.

All four teams at the top won rather easily this weekend. Only Alabama was forced to compete on Saturday in its 20-7 win. Oregon (9-1) is at five, and would need a lot of balls to fall into place to make it into the title game. (Even if Auburn upsets Alabama in two weeks, the #6 Tigers (10-1) will most likely move past Oregon in the standings with the win.) Florida State already passed all of its top ten challenges; its only concern is the recent sexual assault allegations against QB and Heisman candidate Jameis Winston. Those charges should bear out in the next few weeks.

Stanford, South Carolina, and Johnny Manziel's Aggies are the top two-loss teams according to the BCS, at #9, #11, and #12, respectively.
