Earlier reports suggest that Intel is waiting for the CES 2017 to officially unveil their future line of Intel Kaby Lake-S desktop processors. However, with only few more days before the CES 2017, the specs of Kaby Lake-S have leaked online.

The leaked details consists 16 CPUs which include Xeon E3-1205 v6, three Pentium processors, seven Core i5 models, two Core i3 units and three Core i7 chips. The name of the 200 series chipsets were also revealed wherein the lineup include the Z270 PCH with an overclocking capability for enthusiast-class PCs; H270, Q270, H250 and the B250 for office computers.

The X-series chipsets which was specially created for Intel's High-End Desktop Platform was also seen in the processor list specifically, the X299. The inclusion of the X-series to Kaby Lake may suggest the mainstream platform or the chipset for the next HEDT, Digital Spy reported.

Intel Kaby Lake Leaked Specs

The Intel Core i7 7700K with a base clockspeed of 4.2 GHz and turbo clockspeed of 4.5 GHz will be the top Kaby Lake chips for the year 2017 PC Games reported. It will be followed by the Devil's Canyon Core i7 4790K with turbo speed of 4.4 GHz.

The K-series Core i5 7600K, on the other hand, has a base speed of 3.8 GHz and a turbo speed of 4.3 GHz. The Core i3 7350K is perfect for those looking for chipsets intended for gaming at a fair price as it has Hyper Threading for the full threads of processing power to be delivered at the speed of 4.2 GHz.

Meanwhile, Kaby Lake is expected to support Intel's Optane Storage Technology, a breakthrough memory technology created by Intel. According to Intel, the Optane technology is a combination of the revolutionary 3XD point memory media and the advanced system memory controller with the interface hardware and software IP.
