Get your wallets with cash ready as Steam's Winter Sale will begin on Thursday, Dec. 22. Game enthusiasts are ecstatic after the announcement broke out coming from PayPal UK's Twitter account that spilled the beans on the start date of the sale.

The Steam Winter Sale is an anticipated fair of discounted games dished out to huge game fans and enthusiasts who gather and purchase the much-anticipated game sales. It is projected that multiple indie games will be showcased to lure in newcomers and old-schoolers alike. Prices points could go beyond 50% off to a whopping 95% off, Cinema Blend reported.

Reports divulged that new games like "Dishonored 2" and "Watch Dogs 2" will be joining in the sale as well as hard hitters like "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." It is however unlucky to those gamers who are waiting for sales in both games "Titanfall2" and "Battlefield 1" because it won't be available on Steam due to being exclusive to EA's Origin platform, Cinema Blend has learned.

Meanwhile, twinning the opening sale date is the voting of the game finalists for the Steam Awards, which were nominated by fans and game enthusiasts last November thru the Steam Selection Committee.
