‘Quantico’ News & Update: ‘Quantico’ Moved To Another Time Slot; Possible Road To Series Cancellation
ByA tweet from Quantico Writers Room catapults speculations of a possible road to series cancellation buzzing around online lately, specifically that in the past airings of the show ratings have plummeted. The tweet, which confirmed a change of late timeslot for the American drama thriller series had left fans speculate whether it is a moderate attempt to finally cancel the series.
Instead of Sunday nights, starting January 27 next year it will be aired at 10 p.m. every Monday night. The Sunday night series is currently airing its second season, and so far the numbers have not been phenomenal. Cinema Blend reported that the show has failed to do above a 1.0 in Live+Same Day ratings. Its November 27 episode only did a .7 rating.
Reports added that while people are fond of recoding episodes of TV programs and watch them later, live numbers are still preferable to most major networks like "Quantico's" ABC Studios. The ugly rating the series has experienced right now may be pointed out to the flashback format the series has currently shown.
Whatever the reason maybe, there is no escaping the fact that there have been rumors that the series is in danger to be cancelled based on that rating alone aside from the fact that the lead star in the series Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, is apparently have an attitude problem, iTech Post has learned. However, ABC denied this rumor and debunk that the actress does not have this kind of attitude.
Loyal fans of the series have something to rejoice for as Cinema Blend added that ABC seemed to be confident still of the series because even though "Quantico" will be transferred to a new timeslot, it will fare with shows like "Dancing with the Stars" as lead-in, which may help with the number of eyeballs the show is getting.
Fans may thank ABC of this strategy but should they want "Quantico" to keep on airing for another season then they might try in helping the series boost its rating so that ABC Studios will be impressed and give the series another chance to entertain TV thriller series fans for the coming days.
