The world now knows a new Miss World 2016 in the name of Stephanie del Valle Diaz. She is Miss Puerto Rico during the beauty pageant. For the record, she is the second Miss World to take the title for her country, Puerto Rico.
While most contestants may have spent their lives preparing for pageants and contests, Miss World 2016 Stephanie del Valle Diaz is handling her education pretty well. Amidst the hustle, she is a Puerto Rican musician, model and student.
This Miss World 2016 is actually attending Pace University in New York City. She has a Bachelor of Arts major in Communication Studies. To add to her current higher education, she is also taking some minors in pre-law. She is also multi-cultural, she speaks three languages - English, Spanish and French, as reported by Prima.
After representing her country in the recent Miss World 2016 competition in Washington, D.C, (out of 100 countries competing) the 19 year old beauty is ready to take on the world. To make it official, Miss World 2015 winner Mireia Lalaguna of Spain passed the crown to Stephanie del Valle on Sunday at the MGM National Harbor, as reported by Syracuse. She takes first spot while Dominican Republic's representative, Yaritza Miguelina Reyes Ramirez takes second. And Indonesia's Natasha Mannuela follows behind. The Top Model winner goes to Jing Kong from the People's Republic of China and Catriona Gray from the Philippines gets the Multimedia award.
The event was hosted by Miss World 2013 Megan Young and Jason Cook. Reviewing her entry, the 5'8" beauty said that she felt it was a great honor and responsibility to represent Puerto Rico. Her first few steps as Miss World 2016 will soon be revealed. One thing is for sure, according to her Instagram post, she does not like to follow trends.
