The 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) are approaching fast and just a few days away. It also means two things, the most exciting consumer electronics announcement, and the tech companies involved, which said to include Asus, Intel, Nvidia, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, LG and more.

These tech companies are expected to showcase their latest mobile devices at the 2017 CES event, which will be held from Jan. 4 to Jan. 12 next year in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here is a list of tech companies that are expected to have a big presence at the upcoming CES 2017:

Sony
Sony is penned to ship a couple of new Xperia handsets, most notably a 4K-equipped 5.5in model to improve on the Z5 Premium. However, if the crowd won't see any new Sony phones at CES, chances are they heading for Mobile World Congress this coming February 2017.

Asus
Rumors are rife on the web that Asus is readying something big this upcoming CES 2017 event. Latest report said that the company might unveil the latest version of its flagship smartphone, the Asus Zenfone 4. While the company hasn't revealed yet about its upcoming smartphone event, Asus is expected to come out with a smartphone equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with the latest Android 7.1 Nougat OS on board.

Samsung
Korean giant Samsung is likely to launch the Galaxy A-series devices, which will the A3, A5 and A7 devices. The rumored threes smartphones are expected to have a completely refreshed design and some newly added features such as a USB-C charging port.

According to Pulse, the Korean tech giant is also expected to unveil its upgraded quantum-dot-based light emitting diode (QLED) TV at the upcoming CES 2017.

In addition to the QLED TV, Samsung will also unveil a new type of self-emitting 4K (ultra high definition) LCD TV powered by quantum dots.

Huawei
The Chinese-based company is expected to have major releases lined up for the big tech event. This might include a possible unveil of the much-awaited Huawei P9 successor.

Xiaomi
This is the first time that Xiaomi will participate in the CES 2017. There still no announcement yet about the company's products. But Xiaomi has released its teaser video for the CES 2017 event, suggesting a possible smartphone launch for the global market.

LG
LG Electronics is expected to reveal to the world it's latest budget phone, the LG V5. The phone is expected to feature a new Micro-USB port and a fingerprint scanner. LG is also expected to release several K-series phones, which include the K3, K4, K8, and K10. The upcoming K10 is said to feature a 5.3in HD display, thus placing it in proper phablet space, leaving its past form.

Intel
Of course, CES 2017 would be complete without the presence of the American tech giant Intel, which has been the crowd's favorite for years.

According to DigiTimes, Intel is expected to unveil a new series of NUC platform. The chipmaker giant will unveil its new Baby Canyon NUC platform in the first quarter of 2017, as a replacement to its existing Rock Canyon and Swift Canyon platforms.
