After previous reports had set the release of iPad Air 3 for late 2016, it is now expected to launch on March of 2017. It is expected to have the new iPad will have features such as fingerprint scanner for security purposes and a 9.7-inch screen.
The iPad Air 3, according to Macworld, will be introduced to the world along with the iPad Pro 2 and iPad Mini 5. Because of this, Apple seems to be exploring a new strategy as they release three iPad models that are similar to each other at the same time which contradicts what Apple used to do in the past. If one of them is better than the other, then the sales of the other model would suffer. This will certainly give a headache to Apple's marketing department.
According to PC Advisor, the iPad Air 3 is expected to include a 12MP camera, an improved Bluetooth app and 4 GB of RAM. It is expected to be released in three variants: 64 GB, 1268 GB and 256 GB. It is expected to have similar specs with the iPHone 7 because it will also be installed with an A10 chip processor. However, there are reports that this is the last model in the Air line.
The iPad Air 3 is also expected to have the Apple Pencil support which is a stylus. It has been deemed as one of the most superior styluses soon to be available in the market. The stylus would make users feel secure as it could be used to open certain apps from the lock screen. The stylus will also be used to write text and draw images.
