Surface Pro 5 Will Support the Rechargeable Surface Pen

One of the most consistent rumors about the Surface Pro 5 is the support of the device for the Surface Pen which is said to have undergone a total overhaul. According to PC Advisor, Surface Pen automatically charges itself when attached to the tablet due to the rechargeable batteries it contains unlike with the previous Surface Pro that contains AAAA alkaline battery that requires manual charging.

Surface Pro 5 Will Have Intel Kaby Lake as Processor

Another speculation says that Surface Pro 5 will have Intel Kabylake for the processor in contrast to the previous rumors that the device will utilize the Skylake chipset. Using the Kabylake processor will bring enhancements to Surface Pro 5 performance most especially that the device will sport a robust memory of 16GB of RAM and 512GB on-board internal storage.

Surface Pro 5 Will Run Windows Redstone Out of the Box

If the rumors are true then the Surface Pro 5 will be the first device to run the Microsoft latest operating system Windows 10 Redstone 3. According to BGR, if this happens, Surface Pro 5 will be the closest rival of Apple iPad Air and MacBook Air in some cases.

Surface Pro 5 Will Feature High-Resolution Displays

It is presumed that Surface Pro 5 will come in two variants - the top-tier one and the entry-level. As added by PC Advisor, the top-tier one will feature a 4K screen display resolution that comes with a higher price and 2K resolution for the entry-level.

The price cut for Surface Pro 4 is seen by some as a hint that another Surface Pro is coming to the market. Surface Pro 5 is rumored to hit the store shelves in the spring season of 2017.
