Samsung Galaxy S7 Update: Nougat 7.0 Problems Caused Samsung To Skip The Update And Wait For The Nougat 7.1.1; No Google Assistant Cortana For Nougat 7.1.1 [Video]
ByFollowing the release of Android Nougat 7.0, Android is set to release another update, the Android Nougat 7.1.1, but only for eligible phones including Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
As previously reported, Samsung ditches Android Nougat 7.0 update for their flagship product Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge despite the news that Samsung S7 will be the first premium phone to receive the update. So why did Samsung skip the Nougat 7.0 update for the flagship phones?
Despite the customizations to the mobile operating system brought by Nougat 7.0, there seemed to be a deeper problem with the update. Check this out.
Display not Working
Goggle Pixel users found out that after they updated their device to Android Nougat 7.0, they had since experienced not working ambient display though the "wake" function works as a solution to some users, still others do not see anything.
Trouble with Bluetooth
There were varied problems with the Bluetooth connection. While others are unable to connect to their car's Bluetooth, others experience connect and disconnect and calls do not go through while using the Bluetooth connection.
Battery Drains Fast
Certainly, battery draining problem annoys anyone using a smartphone much more to those who just recently updated their devices.
For the protection of Samsung's premium smartphone models, Samsung just decided to skip the update to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung S7 Edge. After the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 controversy, Samsung wouldn't afford to face another issue with their top of the line products.
Meanwhile, the Android Nougat 7.1.1 will be fully supported by Samsung for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Base on the recent reports about the Android Nougat 7.1.1, the update is indeed promising and interesting despite the fact that Google Assistant Cortana will not be feature for the Samsung Galaxy updates as it is only for Google Phones.
The Android Nougat 7.1.1 will perfectly compliment the features of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge as it will have app shortcuts that is similar to the 3D touch featured in the iOS 9. Image keyboard will also be included in the update and will carry a new camera app.
