Google Pixel and Pixel XL are expected to receive the new update on its networks after Verizon started the release for the upgrade, which should bring several bug fixes and the latest December Android security patch.

The update is carrying a build number of NMF26O and extend to the handsets over-the-air (OTA). Verizon released a full changelog of the update, indicating a complete list of issues fixed, GSMArena reported.

Through the latest update, Verizon has now fixed errors in their visual voicemail messaging. In the past, customers could not retrieve their Visual Voicemail messages and were getting an error 9999 in some areas.

Other issues fixed are the voicemail icon notification not displaying when a new voicemail message was received, and with devices stopped playing voicemail messages over Bluetooth after the screen timed out.

Google Pixel devices occasionally going to blue screen during an inbound call is also included in the said update, along with resolved issue on email font being too small, some texts not properly displayed on the call screen/dialer, and texts that are corrupted on the Recent Calls and contact list screens.

Although the said update contains many fixes and the latest security patch, the update does not include the double-tap and raise to wake features that recently reached the Google Pixel in Canada, Droid Life reported. Speculations are on high that the features could still hit the Verizon versions of the Pixel and Pixel XL at a later date.

According to Verizon Wireless, Both Google Pixel and Pixel XL features Google's built-in assistant, a 12.3 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front-snapping camera, the latest Android 7.1 Nougat firmware, and Verizon's LTE Advanced.

Under the hood, it runs a Snapdragon 821 chipset Quad core Kyro 2.16GHz/1.6 GHz, a 4GB RAM, a 32GB or 128GB internal memory, and a 2770 mAh battery.
