ByWith a whopping 3.7 million units sold just two weeks after it was launched, there are definitely millions of gamers playing "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon." With these multitudes of people trying to catch them all, it would be difficult to be the best Pokemon master out there. But one of the best Pokemon masters divulged his secrets on how to be the very best like no one ever was.
Pokemon Sun and Moon tips from a Champion
Bennet Piercy, the Senior Division 2015 National Pokemon Champion in North America, talked about tips and tricks on how to battle competitively for the "Pokemon Sun and Moon," Game Rant reported. First, he warned players to not overestimate the slower Pokemon speed in the popular VCG Trick Room move. He said it doesn't benefit the slow Pokemon, but is instead advantageous to the Pokemons that are slower compared to the rest.
Flying, Rock, Dragon, and Ice Pokemons might have been important before, but this year, they are no longer that relevant. Meanwhile, the less popular Pokemon types in the past, like Grass, Poison, and Electric might be important in the 2017 VGC. One of the main reasons for this is that the powerful Alalon Pokemons that are new can have the same power as the less popular ones in the past.
Without the master clock evasion moves can easily be boosted, so players should use new strategies by using skills like Roar, Taunt, Whirlwind, Smart Strike, and Haze.
Also, Piercy advised players to take advantage of the terrain and the weather. Finally, he encouraged the fans to not be intimidated by the high base stat Pokemons called Ultra Beasts and look for new strategies to defeat them.
