A recent leak of the Pinecone-powered handset, Xiaomi Mi 5c, suggests that the flagship is incredibly cheap.

Xiaomi Mi 5c Specs and Price Leaked

Tmall, a Chinese retailer unofficially confirms the price of Xiaomi Mi 5c. The listing reads 1,500 Yuan or about $217 as the price. If the leak is to be believed, Mi 5c will be an affordable handset for Mi 5 alternative.

Other than the pricetag, the retailer's listing mentions 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, GSM Arena reported. Mi 5c will have 4G network and be powered by an octa-core processor codenamed Pinecone.

As the Mi 5 variant will get MIUI 8 interface update, it is highly likely that the cheaper Mi 5 model will come with pre-installed Xiaomi's latest custom skin on top of its Marshmallow OS.

Xiaomi Mi 5c is iPhone Lookalike?

Previously, there has been a viral rumor that suggests the design of Mi 5c will look a lot like iPhone. Reports have indicated that it will be shipped with a stylishly designed chassis that's glossy like the iPhone handset.

The image shows off the alleged Mi 5c from the back side, it carries Mi logo, according to XiaomiToday. Judging from the leaked image, the device is impressively thin and sleek. As for the optic department, the handset pairs 12 MP rear shooter with 8 MP selfie shooter.

Xiaomi Mi 5c In-House Processor Codenamed Pinecone

Mi 5c is rumored to rock Pinecone SoC - Xiaomi's very-own processor chip that is said to compete head to head with Huawei Kirin and Samsung Exynos.

Xiaomi's current handsets use either Snapdragon and MediaTek Helio processors and if the Pinecone comes into fruition, then Xiaomi Mi 5c will be the first device to sport the in-house processor.
