Gamers easily got hooked with the Microsoft's Surface Book ever since it was released back in October 2015. And then, Microsoft recently rolled out the laptops second iteration in the form of the Surface Book i7. Now, there are reports that it will be releasing the latest Microsoft Surface Book 2 next year for what possibly is the best version for gaming and video editing.

Microsoft Surface Book 2: Specs and Release Date Updates

Gamers will definitely go wild with a better version of everything they already love about the first Microsoft Surface Book. There were earlier reports that the new Microsoft Surface Book 2 will be out in the market next year, Tech Times Reported.

The new laptop will be powered by Kaby Lake processors by Intel. Microsoft will include Intel's newest i5 and i7 Kaby Lake processors in their latest Surface Book 2. These new chipsets will definitely bring major improvements to Microsoft's Surface Book 2.

The Surface Book 2 will have a 13.5-inch display with 3,840 x 2,160 screen resolution. This means it can now support 4K videos. The new laptop model is also rumored to have the capacity for virtual reality system.

Microsoft Surface Book 2: Will it Hit the Marks that Surface Book Missed?

Microsoft posted an image of the new Surface Book 2 in its official Instagram account. It shows that the new laptop has fewer ridges, unlike its predecessors. This new design will address the gap problem that customers complain about in the first Surface Book.

The Surface Book with sixth-generation Intel Core i7 processor still has occasional lags and stutters when editing with the Premier Pro, The Verge reported. Rendering and exporting videos using the Surface Book as also not very impressive.

According to a report, the Surface Book is efficient, but not ideal. Microsoft wanted to market it best portable computer for professionals in the production industry. The question now is will the new Surface Book 2 address all these issues.
