"Devil May Cry 5" might happen
After the release of the reboot of the game franchise, "DmC: Devil May Cry," fans were disappointed with its gameplay, story, and almost everything about it. The sales were good, but it was clear that they wanted a sequel to the original video game series, which will be "Devil May Cry 5."
According to the official website of Capcom Japan, the game company has decided to revive dormant IPs that they have developed through the years and one of those is the "Devil May Cry" game series. After the announcement of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite," and the revival of "Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Ultimate" on PlayStation 4, it is likely possible for the popular series to come back.
"Devil May Cry 5" or "DmC 2?"
Fans loved the "Devil May Cry" game series, which is why most of them want a sequel in the form of "Devil May Cry 5." While the sales of "Devil May Cry 4" were low, they would still prefer to have a sequel to the original series. "DmC: Devil May Cry" was launched in 2010 and has gotten a negative response from the gaming community, but it got positive reviews when it was released.
The next sequel will most likely be decided by Capcom Japan in the end, since it was them that decided to encourage the Western branch to take the franchise in a different direction. It is up to them if they would decide to listen to the fans around the world or they would look at the sales that the two game series' have made.
