The semiconductor manufacturing company Intel, is all set to roll out Kaby Lake processor on Jan. 5, 2017. Wherein, tech fans are indeed waiting for the performance results of the new development from the manufacturing company. Nevertheless, the Intel Core i7-7700K, being the topmost processor in the Kaby Lake processor lineup, is compared with the best processor of Intel-Skylake, the Core i7-6700K.

The performance test between the Intel Core i7-7700K and Core i7-6700K processor was done before. Now, the recent report by Expreview gives clear information on the new Kaby Lake processor.

The recent performance test between the two processors showed that the Intel Core i7-7700K processor is the fastest Core i7 chip in the Kaby Lake family. The Intel Core i7-7700K processor features a quad core, hyper-threaded design.

The Intel Core i7-7700K processor is based on the latest 14nm Plus process node which provides boosted efficiency and performance of the existing 14nm FinFET technology. The clock speeds of Intel Core i7-7700K are rated 4.2 GHz base and 4.5 GHz boost. The Intel Core i7-7700K processor also comes along with 8 MB of L3 cache and has a TDP of 91W.

Core i7-7700K is reported to be packed with a 10W higher power consumption compared to Core i7-6700K and its default voltage is also boosted to 1.2V. Intel Core i7-7700K's higher power consumption is due to the increase in clock speeds. Because of higher clock speeds of Core i7-7700, it is reported that the chip will have a temperature of 73.6C.

Furthermore, the Core i7-7700K has a TDP of 95 watts and a socket LGA 1151 part, thus, the tech enthusiasts will find that work with most current Z170 chipset motherboards and even for the upcoming Z270 motherboards. The Core i7-7700K processor utilizes DDR4 memory. The processor also has an updated iGPU which is labeled by Intel as 630, according to Hard OCP.
