After its season finale, "Westworld" has established itself as one of the best TV shows today. Fans of the rich, sci-fi series would just have to be patient for season 2, which set to be aired in 2018. Unless, "Westword" would get a Telltale game adaptation, just like Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, and Even Guardians of the Galaxy.
Master in Game Adaptations
Telltale is considered as one of the best companies that creates adaptations of popular movies and TV series, Attack of the Fanboy reported. A Telltale game adaptation of the hit TV series could happen with the good relationship the game maker has established with HBO after creating a "Game of Thrones" video game.
Point-and-Click Decision Heavy Game
During the 2016 Game Awards in Los Angeles, Telltale officially announced that it will release a "Guardians of the Galaxy" video game adaptation, The Verge reported. The game would also be a point-and-click choice intensive game just like the video game adaptation of "The Walking Dead" and "Game of Thrones." If there would ever be a "Westworld" video game it could also have the same gameplay as those adaptations.
'Westworld' is based on Video Game
It is also logical for "Westworld" to have a game version, since it is based on a game in the first place. Its creator Jonathan Nolan said in a Comic Con event that "Westworld" is inspired by the popular sci-fi game "Bioshock Infinite." According to Nolan, he was specifically interested in the notion that the game revolves around a floating steam punk city, which he said was one of the most thoughtful entertainment piece in the last decade.
The "Westworld" game could happen in one of the many timelines that the story has. But for now, fans will just have to cross their fingers and wait for any official reports if Telltale will indeed adapt "Westworld."
