Users of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus will finally get the Android 7.0 Nougat update before the end of this year. Meanwhile, the Android 7.1.1 update was just released fo selected Google-approved devices.

Nougat Update for Moto G4 December

Motorola Mobility has already announced in the past the it will release the Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. Finally, sources are saying that this will come true before the year ends, The Tecake reported. Meanwhile, Lenovo has officially announced earlier that it will roll out Nougat update during the fourth quarter of 2016.

Android 7.1.1 for Google-approved devices

While Motorola devices will get their 7.0 Nougat updates, the Android 7.1.1 has recently been launched for Google-approved gadgets like the General Mobile 4G, Pixel C, Nexus Player, Pixel XL, Nexus 9, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6, Tech Crunch reported. This is Google's latest generation of its popular Android Nougat, and is considered their most advanced software yet.

Android Nougat for Moto G4

Soak test was done in Brazil for the Moto G4 and G4 Plus and they are considered successful. Soak tests are when a small scale roll out is done to verify any issues that needs fixing.

Users are advised to download or install the update. They should make sure that their phones are connected to the internet and have more than half the bar on their batteries.

The user will get notification for the update. After that they much choose the "Yes, I'm in" option. Then, users should choose "Install Now" once they download the update.

New Features

The new Android 7.0 Nougat for the Moto G4 and G4 Plus allows users to switch to various apps through the multitasking button with the new Multi-Window, Wuick Switch capabilities. It also offers the VR support or Daydream for an improved VR experience.
