'Star Wars: Battlefront' Rogue One DLC Trailer Detailed! EA DICE Confirms Game's Sequel In 2017! [VIDEO]

EA Dice has recently unveiled the official trailer for its upcoming "Rogue One" downloadable content (DLC) this December. Moreover, it seems the developers have confirmed the game's sequel, which is slated for a 2017 release date, according to sources.
It was recently reported that EA DICE has released the first trailer for "Star Wars: Battlefront" Rogue One: Scarif DLC, Gamespot reporetd. The trailer features the final expansion that will be released for the game.
As previously reported, the upcoming Rogue One: Scarif DLC will feature four new maps that are located in the planet of Scarif. It will also feature two new playable characters, Jyn Erso (a rebel leader) and Orson Krennic (an antagonist character).
It was also reported that one of the most noticeable new feature in the Rogue One: Scarif DLC is the inclusion of a new game mode, Shack News has learned. The new game mode, called Infiltration, will allow players to infiltrate an imperial base and escaping with the needed intel to be brought back to the Rebel faction.
It was stated therein that the new game mode will involve a blend of space battles and ground skirmishes, wherein the Imperials must fend off the infiltrating Rebels in order to win the game.
Moreover, the source also went on to detail the new playable characters featured in the upcoming DLC. It was noted that Jyn Erso will have the ability to quickly switch back and forth between her pistol and an A-180 blaster rifle. She is also equipped with a few flash-bangs that reduces her enemies' armor.
On the other hand, Officer Orson Krennic was said to be accompanied by a helper droid that can release gas or utilize a protective shield for defense. It was also mentioned that he is armed with a DT-29 blaster pistol, which also has an effect of reducing the enemies armor.
In other news, it was also reported by Gamespot that Electronic Arts' CFO, Blake Jorgensen, has confirmed that "Battlefront 2" will be released next year. He said that the sequel will feature bigger and better worlds, and will utilize content coming from the new movies.
With all these said, it seems that fans of EA DICE's "Star Wars: Battlefront" are in for a treat as the Rogue One: Scarif DLC gets released this Dec. 20 (while it is released in advance on Dec. 6 for season pass owners) and a sequel to the game slated in 2017.
