The "Assassin's Creed" movie 2016 will soon be experienced in virtual reality and will be available in six participating theaters of the four US cities. This is good news to "Assassin's Creed" fans who don't have VR technology yet.
According to The Verge, the "Assassin's Creed" VR experience will be shown starting Dec. 2 until January 1, 2017 which will start at 2PM or 3PM until 9PM or 10PM at the participating theaters including:
- Century City 15 - Los Angeles, California
- Orange 30 - Orange, California
- Lincoln Square 13 - New York City
- 34th Street 14 - New York City
- Barton Creek 14 - Austin, Texas
- Metreon 16 - San Franciso, California
An Oculus Rift demo kiosk will also be available at these participating theaters however, James Knight, AMD virtual production director said that they have no plans in keeping those kiosks open after Jan. 1 so better take advantage of its availability.
The "Assassin's Creed" VR experience became possible with the partnership of AMD, New Regency, Alienware and 20th Century Fox. The free VR content will also be available for Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR though the Oculus Video app as well as the 360 degree video on Facebook starting Dec. 1 at the debut of The Game Awards, reports Variety.
Thanks to this new technology, excited fans will get to experience the adventure of Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) - a descendant of the assassins as he time-travels to the Spanish acquisition. The VR experience of the "Assassin's Creed" is the same as the movie.
Directed by Justin Kurzel and distributed by 20th Century Fox, the "Assassin's Creed" movie which slated for premiere on Dec. 21. is also produced by Ubisoft Motion Pictures, New Regency Productions, DMC Films and Kennedy Marshall/ Marshall Co. which is also co-financed by RatPac Entertainment and Alpha Pictures.
The "Assassin's Creed" became popular in the world of gaming, and now in the world of film and in the newest VR technology. So while there are only limited locations for the VR experience, grab the chance to experience the virtual reality of the "Assassin's Creed.
