Set for a 2019 release date, DC superhero movie "Shazam" has yet to have an actor playing the title role even though it has one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson playing the villain, Black Adam. Five actors whom fans envision as "Shazam" are Zac Efron, Matt Bomer, Matt Damon, Jack Gyllenhaal and Channing Tatum.

According to Headlines & Global News, Zac Efron was seen to be pretty muscular when "Neighbors" came out. He is also a teenage heartthrob so teenagers will surely flock to see the movie for his involvement alone. Matt Damon is also fit to be Shazam since he already displayed how much he can shine in the lead in an action movie in the Bourne movies.

Matt Bomer and Jake Gyllenhall were seriously considered to play Superman and Spider-Man respectively until the roles went to other actors but both look the part for a super-heroic role so they certainly fit the bill. As a Hollywood leading man, Channing Tatum has done just about anything you can think of like action, comedy, romance and even dancing. A superhero movie paired with a fight scene with his GI Joe co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson would please his fans.

According to Cinema Blend, there is still no plot for the movie but it is expected to tell the origin of Shazam or Billy Batson. Batson can turn into Shazam when he says the word "Shazam". His powers range from super strength to unbelievable magical powers. Shazam has been fighting crime for over eight decades and this marks its full-length theatrical debut.

Shazam will be released as part of the DC Extended Universe Connection movies. Unlike the other superheroes scheduled for a movie, Shazam is the only one not rumored for a cameo in the Justice League films.
