‘The Originals’ Season 4 Release Faces Another Delay?; ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Characters Continue to Crossover in the Spin-off Series!
By"The Originals" Season 4 has previously been confirmed to come return in The CW in 2017, but it seems that its arrival will only be possible after "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 ends.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is scheduled to have its last episode on March 2017. Buddy TV reported that "The Originals" Season 4 episode 8 will be released a week after "The Vampire Diaries" finally have its conclusion.
Meanwhile, fans are excited in the rumored crossover of some of the characters from "The Vampire Diaries." It is already confirmed that new character from "The Vampire Diaries" will be part of "The Originals" Season 4.
TV Line reported that the confirmed character to cross over and visit New Orleans is Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman. He is rumored to appear in "The Originals" Season 4 with a mission to give Elijah (Daniel Gilles) a relic, which could help save the former's twin daughters. Alaric will be the fourth "TVD" character to appear in "The Originals." In fact, there are speculations that he will become a regular character of the spin-off series, wherein his role can either be to connect her with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) or with some other new characters in the series.
There are also speculations that Caroline (Candice King) will follow and a possible reunification with Klaus Mikaelson will happen in "The Originals" Season 4.
In addition, Nina Dobrev may also appear in New Orleans with a different character from that of Elena Gilbert. According to Game N Guide, producers are thinking about bringing Elena back in the finale episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, although the actress is rumored to have refused to return and instead entertained the idea of crossing over to "The Originals" to conclude her character.
"The Originals" Season 4 is said to premiere on March 17, 2017 shortly after the conclusion of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.
