Intelligence does not always come in the form of prowess in a certain academic field as it can also be found in a person's ability in music, athletics, and many others. Intelligence comes in many shapes and sizes but the last thing you want is to sell yourself short or underestimate your own intellect. But, if you actually have the tendency to doubt your own level of intelligence, it's an indication that you're pretty smart, that's according to Cornell University Study conducted by David Dunning and Justin Kruger.
Here are more signs that you are actually smarter than you think.
You took music lessons
According to research, music can increase a person's intelligence especially for kids. A 2013 study led by Schellenberg also suggests that "that high-achieving kids were the ones most likely to take music lessons."
You are the eldest among the siblings
A study suggests that the oldest siblings are the smartest but that's not because of the genes.
According to New York Times "The new findings, from a landmark study published [in June 2007], showed that eldest children had a slight but significant edge in IQ - an average of three points over the closest sibling. And it found that the difference was not because of biological factors but the psychological interplay of parents and children."
You have a cat
A study conducted in 2014 suggests that among 600 students, those individuals who owned dogs were more outgoing compared the ones who owned cats but the cat owners were found to have higher cognitive ability.
You were breast fed
A 2007 study suggests that babies who were breastfed are the ones who grow up to be the more intelligent kids.
You are lefthanded
One of the most recent research has associated left handedness with a so-called "divergent thinking" which is more common among men.
