"Dishonored 2'" performance comparison analysis on all available platforms was recently revealed. Some fans appreciate the video game's performance on the console systems.

"Dishonored 2" poor PC performance

According to Eurogamer, "Dishonored 2's" PC performance was still poor with a high spec PC build. They tested it with an overclocked Core i7 4790K with a Titan X Pascal and it still had trouble getting 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution. The testers said that there are some improvements after the first patch, but it still performs badly on the PC.

"Dishonored 2" great console performance

"Dishonored 2" played on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, and the Xbox One gives a better performance overall. It works out nicely in scaling resolution, while not impacting the image quality to a very noticeable degree. While the PC version is still out of commission, the console versions do not have too many issues that will distract the players when playing it.

"Dishonored 2" performance level drops at certain situations

The publication's testers noticed that the performance level of "Dishonored 2" is questionable sometimes on all platforms. Players who go through an enemy-infested area get big frame-rate drops which disrupt the gameplay. The more enemies rush toward the player, the frame-rate would get worse, and the game reacts slower to the user's input.

Some players would opt to use stealth to take down targets to have a smoother gameplay. The testers still agree that 20fps gameplay is not acceptable under any circumstances.

Recommended console platform to play "Dishonored 2"

The Digital Foundry testers agree that the best console to play "Dishonored 2" is the PS4 Pro with its additional horsepower. The game also gets a resolution boost for owners who have 4K displays, and it also gives a smoother performance with it.

"Dishonored 2" fans prefer playing on PS4 Pro

According to the official forums of NeoGAF, one member noticed that the PS4 is better than the Xbox One, but it is not perfect either. Both platforms would suffer the same FPS drops during several mission cutscenes and some battles, but the Xbox One has a lower resolution than the PS4. The PS4 Pro offers a resolution of 1440p, but there are no improvements or enhancements for the 1080p TV displays and it is locked at 30fps.
