There is still no official word on what Disney plans to do with the hit TV series "Girl Meets World Season 4" but the production has recently hired several young stars, a possible indication that they are planning to make another show for "Girl Meets World" slot.
This news won't sit too well with teenage actress Rowan Blanchard, who plays Riley Matthews in the Disney show, who called on fans for support for "Girl Meets World Season 4" via Twitter. They recently made an online petition for the show to push through but it looks like it will fall on deaf ears.
It is also possible that Disney plans to replace Blanchard and the rest of the original cast of "Girl Meets World" with a younger group. However, that won't sit well with the show's fans as they have already identified her as Riley Matthews so much that fans already started calling her Riley when they see her in public places. She is also set to publish her own book which tells about the entries in her diary.
Recent updates indicate the show will be renewed in cable network Freeform under a different name. Many deemed Freeform as the best platform for the future of the series.
"Girl Meets World" started in 2014 and has earned the hearts of fans ever since. It is the sequel to the hit TV series Boy Meets World which ran on ABC for 7 years. The show also stars Sabrina Carpenter, Ben Savage, Peyton Meyer and Danielle Fishel.
Rowan Blanchard is not the type to wait and see for things to unfold. She is currently working on another Disney project, A Wrinkle in Time, which is based on the book of the same title. The plot of the movie sees two siblings race back in time to find their missing father.
