A United Kingdom (UK) online retailer is now accepting pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch, even setting a price point for the anticipated hybrid console at GBP£198.50 or USD$246.79.

Nintendo has not officially priced the Switch, which is scheduled for release on March 17 next year. UK online retailer GameSeek is purportedly taking pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch and guaranteed a price point of GBP£198.50 for the hybrid gaming platform.

The pre-order price comes with a guarantee wherein GameSeek stated that if the price of the Nintendo Switch increases at the time of the order to the unit's official release, the customer will be charged with the lower price, Gamespot reported. Note that it is expected that Nintendo will provide pricing details along with other information about the Switch during their scheduled event in January next year.

Be forewarned that GameSeek will charge Nintendo Switch prospective customers upfront. There have been unconfirmed reports that GameSeek has been returning funds to those who have already placed orders for the device.

Nintendo Switch: Two models available?

Let's Play Video Games writer Laura Dale, who has so far been accurate with Nintendo Switch rumors, revealed that the hybrid console will come in two models like the Nintendo Wii U. She noted, however, that Nintendo does not set the UK prices for the console due to UK regulations.

Dale claims there will be two SKUs (stock keeping unit) for the Nintendo switch. As rumors would have it, the Switch will come in 16GB and 64GB models. The lower priced model will retail around USD$250 and the higher priced one at USD$300, with the higher priced model, aside from having more internal storage will also come with a bundled game, according to Let'sPlayVideoGames.

Dale also said the additional Switch Pro Controllers are also expected to be sold at launch which Game Seek pegged the price for said controllers at £39.99.
