The X-Men spinoff "New Mutants" is once again off the charts after concrete proof of one of the show's villains appeared despite the fact that its release date hasn't been announced. Any information (or rumor) would tick off fans and get them excited and the latest involves the appearance of the villain Demon Bear.

For the unitiated, Demon Bear is an antagonist that feeds off human emotion and has supernatural powers like teleportation and transformation. The "New Mutants" are not expected to have a walk in the park with this animal because it can also corrupt your soul.

It is still unknown whether Demon Bear is the New Mutants' main bad guy or not but sources are leaning towards that direction. With not much information about the film other than the fact that it has been described as a 'Stephen King meets John Hughes-style' horror movie, it made fans compare it to this summer's hit series 'Stranger Things' but with more superpowers involved.

The villain was revealed in a pre-viz animatic sequence for the movie so it is confirmed that Demon Bear is definitely going to be in the movie but whether he has a small role or not remains to be seen. New Mutants' director Josh Boone is also the man calling the shots for The Fault in Our Stars.

New Mutants is composed of Warlock, Magik, Sunspot, Cannonball, Dani Moonstar and Wolfsbane. Warlock has powers that allow him to change shapes and sizes while Magik has teleportation powers. Sunspot can absorb solar radiation to create energy blasts while Cannonball can fly using propulsive energy. Dani Moonstar also known as Cheyenne and Mirage can visualize other's thoughts most specifically their fears and finally, Wolfsbane is a werewolf hailing from Scotland. No casting has been announced for this movie but production is expected to start in early 2017.
