Pangu remains silent of its iOS 10 jailbreak tool but a new report indicates that the release date could be imminent.

iOS 10 jailbreak Pangu is linked to an individual source

The analysis comes from iCrackUriDevice that mentions a source that links to Pangu jailbreak - who happens to be Alibaba's Senior Security Engineer, with a Twitter account named SparkZheng. He claims that there is going to be an iOS 10 jailbreak release albeit no word of the exact date.

Why this information seems legit?

Back in 2014, Forbes reported that Alibaba acquired 25PP - the developer that contributes to Pangu jailbreak attempts. The link becomes clear that the engineer might have worked with Pangu to break the restriction in iOS, including the iOS 10 jailbreak tool.

And to support the claim, the iOS engineer at Alibaba is allegedly the same person who managed to jailbreak iOS 9.3.4.

iOS 10 jailbreak to be an open source?

The said source also posted on Weibo, stating an update about iOS 10 jailbreak in Chinese language. While the translation may not be perfect, iCrackUriDevice managed to come up with his own interpretation of the update.

It can be argued that Pangu has worked on iOS 10 jailbreak and it will bring a few changes including open source system to the iPhone 7 device when it is jailbroken.

iOS 10 jailbreak release date delayed?

According to the familiar source, there is a great chance that the release will be delayed due to the time-consuming process. And the MOSEC event where Pangu demoed security flaw in iOS 10 has to be somewhat, a guarantee, that the hacker has already developed the exploit, Redmondpie reported.

With that being said, jailbreaking community should not need to worry about Pangu's slow move as the reports indicate that there will definitely be an iOS 10 jailbreak release.
