Microsoft has announced a few details on Project Scorpio due to be released next year. Now, the tech crowds are anticipating its launch while comparing the upcoming device with the recently-introduced PS4 Pro.

Xbox One Scorpio vs PS4 Pro specs

Xbox One Scorpio has been the talk since Microsoft teased the 'Project Scorpio' awhile ago. The gaming community has also speculated whether or not, the console will be a PS4 Pro killer.

For instance, the recently-launched Pro rocks 8GB memory and runs 218GB/s. The Scorpio is confirmed to pack 320 GB/s, Pocket-Lint has learned. It is also expected to boast the same memory as in PS4 Pro. That being said, Scorpio is highly likely to win over the Pro in the hardware department.

Xbox One Scorpio vs PS4 Pro performance

Due to its upscaling feature, Scorpio will get higher computing capability to render 4K images. And as promised by Sony, it will sport the most advanced GPU to date.

On the other hand, PS4 Pro handles it differently for VR although not always getting the desired high-res content display. At this point, PlayStation VR seems to be the more suitable device than the PS4 Pro for 4K content.

As far as the backward compatibility is concerned, Xbox One S is better than PS4 Pro. However, for the exclusivity sake, the Pro has a lot of popular titles specifically compatible for the console - such as "Uncharted 4" and "Ratchet and Clark".

Xbox One Scorpio vs PS4 Pro price

PS4 Pro is priced at $399 and with Black Friday event around the corner, you can expect huge discount on this popular console. There is still no word from Microsoft on how much it will price the Scorpio but many reports suggest around $600 pricepoint, according to Trusted Reviews.

However, this is just a speculation and given the rumored performance of Scorpio, it will likely worth more value than PS4 Pro.

Xbox One Scorpio will be released in 2017.
