The character "Maggie" has yet to be seen or heard in "The Walking Dead" TV series since the premiere. However, that is about to change in the successful series' Season 7 Episode 5 titled, "Go Getters." While some fans can't wait for the episode, it's possible to read through the comics as it is revealed there that Maggie decided to honor her deceased friend Glenn's final wish by relocating to the Hilltop community.
The last time Maggie was seen in the Walking Dead, she lost almost everything just like the other characters in the series. However, she also lost Glenn, but in the comics, she refused to just give up. Her journey in the comics continued when she remembered Glenn saying Hilltop is much safer than Alexandria so she honored his wish and moved there where she immediately got into conflict with Gregory. It wasn't long before she unseated him as the leader of the community which is a position she still holds in the comics up until now.
The Walking Dead comics saw Maggie as the leader of Hilltop coming into fruitition when the Alexandrians and the Saviors headed toward war and Gregory refused to get involved which infuriated Maggie. She ended up rallying the people of Hilltop to join the fray after realizing she was also not interested in the line of thinking of Negan. After the battle, she gave birth to her son, Hershel, and kept control within the group for two years until chaos once again ensued when a group called Whisperers started threatening everyone's lives.
The Walking Dead's latest episode, "Go Getters" is scheduled to air on Sunday. Maggie is played in the series by actress Lauren Cohan, best known for playing Batman's mom Martha Wayne in "Batman v. Superman."
