Countless websites tend to publish fake news to get more traffic. It is normal for fake news to pop up in Facebook feeds about various topics like sports, celebrities and even video games. It spreads like wildfire because someone actually believe them and decide to share it to their friends and network.

It would be wise to stick to the trusted sites that have been around for a long time in order to avoid getting misled because those sites would never spread fake news unless they want their reputation to be ruined. The saddest part is the websites that spread fake news pop up when you want real news after you searched on Google. Websites that have funny names and have a headline that is too good to be true should not be believed.

For example, a website named N4BB has an article up about the release date and other features like teleportation and a female protagonist about "Grand Theft Auto 6." The website obviously took advantage of the popularity of "Grand Theft Auto" and created fake news. There is not even a release date for "Grand Theft Auto 6" yet and no features have been announced even though the thought of characters teleporting from one place to another sounds really cool.

When media websites close down, there is nothing anybody can do about all these fake news popping up all over the Internet. With the right pictures, they can get close to a million shares on social media and have a lot of people talking about something that is not even true. It is a good thing there are a lot of trusted video game sites like IGN and Video Game News that still exists.
