While millions of "The Walking Dead" fans are still hooked on every zombie attack, it could not be denied that everything good would come to an end – certainly at some point in time.
There is no doubt that the zombie apocalyptic-inspired drama series is still at its peak, eventually it would surely meet its finale. After all, even if the actors are full-fledged committed with the TV series, there would still be sort of growth of the artists and a movement towards another venture.
But of course, this is not the sign of “The Walking Dead” signing off the TV. In fact, there is nothing evident that the show will end sooner or later as the popular TV comic-series has an average of 12 million views as per episode.
The Sunday night airings of the series are always giving tremendous success that the show ended up signing another Season. The Season Eight is already planned to come out in 2017 while its printed comic book would be on its eleventh Season.
The current showrunner Scott Gimple has also affirmed that the end of “The Walking Dead” is unavoidable. But for the possibility of “The Walking Dead” movie, he seemed pretty positive about it.
When asked of a movie adaptation of the hit series on an interview of Comicbook.com, Gimple simply said "That question comes up every now and again. I'm sure one way or another, one day, it'll happen. I think it would be cool."
Although this isn’t a direct confirmation of a movie that is at work, Gimple is very optimistic that as long as “The Walking Dead’s” ratings continue to dominate in the Sunday night television, a movie isn’t outside from possible consideration.
"William Shatner as Rick. We'll get Edward James Olmos as Daryl. Hit all the big shows!" Gimple joked about a potential reboot on the big screen. "Matthew Fox as the Governor!" Gimple even added.
It would probably take a little longer time to even spark rumor for “The Walking Dead” to ever make in a “big-screen” show. But certainly, the “The Walking Dead” would keep on topping the TV as long as the fans are keeping their interest with the zombie drama apocalypse.
