Android 7.0 Nougat to Moto Z and Moto Z Force
Motorola handsets under the contract of Verizon Mobile carrier in the United States have been spotted running the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. According to GSM Arena, Moto Z and Moto Z Force handsets are two of the selected devices eligible to receive the latest android beta program.
Accordingly, the latest beta program update has a software version of NCL25.86-11 for Moto Z and NCL26.86-11 for Moto Z Force. File size is estimated up to 1.5GB and having an installation time of 20 minutes, thus, owners are advised to take off the covers of their respective device to let go of the heat and let the device cool while the installation is on-going.
Android 7.0 Nougat update can be install manually to Moto Z and Moto Z Force. To be able to do this, users can go to Settings, choose System Updates and select Check for System Update and the phone will immediately show the screen containing the updates with features that includes Split-Screen Mode, App Quick Switching, Quick Settings Customization and the VR Daydream Compatibility, according to Android Police.
Android 7.0 Nougat to Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus
Moto Z and Moto Z Force under Verizon contract are the first Motorola handsets to get the latest Android Nougat update. It can be recalled that it is also under Verizon when Moto X was the first Motorola Handset to get the Kitkat update way back 2014.
On the other hand, Android Nougat updates for Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are expected to happen anytime soon. For the meantime, users are advised to wait for the official announcement from Motorola and Google but the update is expected before December ends.
